Customer Review: Haier 19-inch LDC TV
I bought this for my bedroom. It's nice and compact. The sound is good. You have a few choices on the type of sound you want. The picture is excellent. You can also tip the screen up or down depending on the angle you want. My only beef is, when you turn it on, it takes about 2 extra seconds to realize its on. the red light turns to green. It makes you think you missed the button. No big deal really. I love it.
Customer Review: Great TV
Haier HLC19R 19-Inch Widescreen LCD HDTV/DVD CombinationThis is a great tv. I bought it for my bedroom. It doesn't swivel, but it's only a 19 inch, so it's not for a big room. The color is vivid and the settings are perfect right out of the box. Also, it has a very clean looking style. There's nothing around the border to distract your attention. It's sleek and all black. You can't go wrong with this tv.

Component video (also called Y/Pb/Pr) features a three-jack video input, which provides separate connections for luminance (Y), blue color difference (PB) and red color difference (PR). This results in increased bandwidth for color information, resulting in a more accurate picture with clearer color reproduction and less bleeding than you would get with S-Video or composite (RCA yellow video plug) connections. You will need a separate RCA left/right audio cable for sound.

Customer Review: COBY WHO?
I received this 19in flat screen HdTV for Christmas from my children. So far its great. The picture is sweet and clear. It plays DVDs perfectly. If there was any thing to complain about it would be the cheap Atari like clicker. The buttons are very very small, and it has very little power. Also Coby has not given its acess codes to Cablevision so you cannot use just one clicker you have to use theirs to turn on the tv. They dont answer their phone or e-Mail and thats kind of scary. The sound without a reciever hookup leaves much to be desired...It is very low. The 5 watt speakers are not powerful enough on their own. But again the picture is crisp and clear so far so good..

Customer Review: Great Picture and size for bedroom or kid's room.
This TV is great for the intended use as a secondary TV for the bedroom, Den, Cottage, Child's room or wherever the larger versions would be too cumbersome. We recommend it for said uses, but a tad small for living-room viewing, as one might expect. POSITIVES: It's reception of even weak over-the-air stations is quite good with a moderate-gain external antenna, or for local ones, even a straightened paper-clip (SERIOUSLY! :-) ) The color rendition, clarity and definition is above average even when fed by the non-HD output of a Satellite Receiver. When used on the over-the-air HD stations, it is brilliant and no streaking or pixel-hopping. The built-in DVD player works fine and no evidence of problems noted on other side-loading DVD-Players. "Grab" is firm and operation smooth. NEGATIVES or FEATURE-LACKS. As others have noted, the Audio output is pitiful, and have had to go down cellar and get a spare set of Computer Speakers to hear it across a small bedroom, WITH quite a loss in fidelity and some distortion from apparent earphone-out Impedance and PC-Speaker input Impedances (Have tried 2 brands) - Mr Toshiba - you NEED to address that to us owners! 10-degree Tilt angle too small (safety concerns noted) and the viewing-angle too narrow, especially when looking up at the TV on an average-neck-high height bureau from a fairly high bed about 16' away. The image was chocolate-brown looking up at the screen until we stuck a home-made wedge under the rear, being careful to note the balance retention and adding a small safety cord to the wall behind. (It being a corner location, standard TV-Wall-Mounts won't hack it.) As a side note: left-right viewing angles dissapointingly low as well right out of the box. LACK of Video-Outs (Plenty of INPUTS!) to record to VHS or other recording devices a disappointment - S-Video is only one and needed the usual L-R Audio + Analog video outputs. Not a killer problem, but there. BOTTOM LINE: Generally speaking, limitations notwithstanding, it is a decent TV at the price it is sold here at AMAZON and I have no serious regrets that we bought it and had to make accommodations for it's minor nagging shortfalls. Would recommend it to friends with but a few reservations. Tom, NASA-KSC Systems P.E., Ret'd
Customer Review: I want to give this 5 stars... but...
This set is wall mounted in our kitchen. Several other reviews have commented on the built-in audio system. I agree that the combination of very small internal speakers and modest audio power amplifier output make this set occasionally incapable of overcoming common background noise in our kitchen. We are debating whether to drop our C*****t cable subscription, so I am currently looking at the receiver's OTA performance. This set has no signal strength/quality meter. So far, I am satisfied that the tuner sensitivity is adequate, though the two different brands of set-top DTV converters elsewhere in the house have signal meters and seem to perform slightly better when fed marginal signal levels. I'm sure that I will need to add a moderate gain distribution amplifier if we choose to drop cable. For the price, a great picture! So far, the DVD player works.

Remanufactured GoVideo DV2150 Progressive Scan DVD Player/VCR with AutoPlay

Enjoy movies, music, slideshows, and more on the remanufactured GoVideo DV2150, which combines a progressive scan DVD player with a four-head hi-fi VCR. It's the perfect machine for users who want access to the latest video technologies without sacrificing their old VHS collection, and for folks who want to record from the TV without investing in a more expensive DVD or digital video recorder. Video playback is crisp and impressive thanks to the progressive scan technology, which stands ready to deliver the full potential of your DVDs when connected to an HDTV. Progressive scanning, referred to as 480p for the number of horizontal lines that compose the video image, creates a picture using twice the scan lines of a conventional DVD picture, giving you higher resolution and sharper images while eliminating nearly all motion artifacts.

Though DVDs are clearly the feature attraction, the DV2150 also plays several other audio and video formats, including audio CDs, CD-R/RWs, DVD-R/RWs, DVD+R/RWs, and MP3 or JPEG files recorded on a CD-R/RW disc. An added benefit stems from GoVideo's AutoPlay feature, which automatically skips ads, trailers, and menus when you first insert a disc, jumping instead to the start of the movie. The VCR portion, meanwhile, offers playback of traditional and home-recorded VHS tapes, along with recording from either the TV or DVD player. It even lets users watch a DVD and record a TV program on VHS at the same time. In addition, both slow-motion and still-frame images look smooth and clear thanks to the four 19-micron heads, which ensure the best possible picture when recording.

Audio-wise, the device supports 5.1-channel surround sound through its built-in Dolby Digital and DTS audio outputs, along with virtual 3-D surround. Additional features include a 181-channel cable-ready TV tuner with an eight-event/one-year timer; multilanguage onscreen programming in English, French, or Spanish; component, S-video, and composite outputs; two stereo RCA audio outputs; and a full-function remote control that operates both the DVD and VCR portions.

The DV2150 measures 17 by 3.6 by 10 inches (W x H x D) and is backed by a 90-day warranty on labor.

Panasonic DVD-CP67S 5-Disc Progressive-Scan DVD Player , Silver

A mere three inches tall, Panasonic's DVD-CP67K (also available in black) gives you the convenience of five-DVD and/or CD playback with multiple-format video outputs, including stunning progressive-scan video for use with an HD or HD-ready set. Whether you currently have HDTV capabilities or you're merely thinking of "someday," the CP67K stands ready to deliver. Progressive scanning, referred to as 480p for the number of horizontal lines that compose the video image, creates a picture using twice the scan lines of a conventional DVD picture, giving higher resolution and sharper images while eliminating nearly all motion artifacts.

This player's Cinema Mode cuts down glare and improves color resolution in a darkened living room, Quick Replay jumps back seven to 10 seconds, variable zoom converts any widescreen image to full screen on a 4:3 aspect-ratio TV (eliminating the black bands at the top and bottom of the screen), and high-speed smooth scan zips through a two-hour movie in just 40 seconds.

The CP67K is compatible with standard DVD-R (it's guaranteed to play Panasonic DVD-Rs recorded and finalized with a Panasonic DVD video recorder, though others may work as well), CDs, audio CD-Rs and CD-RWs, and discs encoded with MP3 or WMA (Windows Media) audio files. A 192 kHz/24-bit digital-to-analog converter ensures optimal decoding of all disc formats except high-resolution DVD-Audio.

To round out the stereo experience, Advanced Surround (V.S.S.) simulates surround-sound effects using only two speakers, dynamic range compression limits the peak levels of Dolby Digital-encoded programs (found on most DVDs), and the Dialogue Enhancer increases the relative volume of the center channel, making center-channel content easier to hear.

For connections, you get the works: standard composite-video, S-video, and premium component-video outputs. The latter can be switched to deliver either 480i or 480p (progressive-scan) video. The player also has a single set of stereo RCA analog-audio outputs and an optical digital-audio output to feed a surround-sound signal to your Dolby Digital-decoding or DTS-decoding audio/video receiver.

Customer Review: Great player until it dies
I had this player for about 2 1/2 years. I don't watch many movies, so it probably got used 2 or 3 times a month. The picture quality is great. It was a pretty nice dvd player. It wasn't as good for CDs, lacking features you'd want in a cd player, but it was ok. It died with the H07 error everyone else is reporting. I thought I would try and fix it with some WD40 like I've seen posted on the web. I tried to open it up and apparently the screws have been glued in or something, and simply will not come out. So I stomped on it a few times, and hit it with a hammer several times. Never managed to open it, it's a pretty rugged case. But I'm pretty sure it's dead now. It makes rattling noises when I pick it up and shake it, and has lots of dents. Oh well, I think my next one won't be a panasonic, since it seems alot of them have this problem
Customer Review: great--for a while
I loved this thing for three years and four months--one of the best birthday presents I ever received. And then the fateful H07 error...
