I have been a fan of Sharp products for years and this TV has not changed my opinion of this company. I hooked the TV up to my analog cable and was totally amazed by the picture quality. It's hard to imagine how great the HD picture will be when I finally breakdown and buy a cable box for my office. All the programing features are easy to use, and swiching viewing modes (there are several to choose from) is a snap. DVD is simple to operate and works seemlessly. I highly recommend this TV.
Customer Review: I wanted to Love it, but it has face problems!
I don't like it because of the glossy, shiny black trim around the screen. It reflects every tiny source of light in the room creating annoying distractions while viewing. Even the screen is reflected, since the glossy edge is beveled inwards toward the screen. In real world viewing, it's awful. The trim looks fine, as long as the unit is OFF. I chose to mount this unit on the wall. The power supply cord is TOO short, at about 5 feet. I had to purchase a longer cord. Also the power supply cord goes into the opposite end of the unit than the other cables, making the power cord much more difficult to hide. The 1.5 watt speakers provide only JUST enough volume for my 12' x 12' room. If there were much ambient noise, these speakers would not provide enough volume. This room is farily quiet, and I still have the unit at near maximum volume. Other than that, everything seemed fine.

I bought this TV based on the fact that I have always owned Magnavox TVs. I have had it about 6 months and have not been disappointed at all. If I had to pick one fault....one other reviewer pointed out, it takes a little long to get the picture after pushing the power button. But to me this is a minor detail. good picture, good sound and I got it at Best Buy for less than is listed here.

I can say that the speakers on the TV are just stock speakers so the sound is just good enough for the average person and is much like an average TV speaker system so If you want surround sound to it, just buy a coaxial cable and hook it up to a surround sound system that has a coaxial input to it. The DVD Player shows all movies very good and I can't really say if they are upscaled or anything, but all I know is they look pretty good, like a movie should look on any TV. Note: - - - (About the Resolution) I have searched on the internet to find more about this TV and all the sites I have seen show this TV to have a Top resolution of 1080i resolution which is great, But for some reason my shows in 1080p resolution which is the highest you can go. UPDATE - - I have been told that the TV is just picking up the 1080p signal, But that the TV is Downsourcing the signal to only 720p thus the info (1366 x 768p Hig Def resolution) Listed on the Product Description info part on the internet. - - - Wow Amazon dropped the price of this TV, it was listed for $750 in early April 08 !!! We got this TV/DVD player mainly for the DVD and to watch our video camera videos. We are happy with it and liked that it only weighs 11 lbs. The picture is clear, it's relatively easy to use. If using for a TV you do need an antenna and/or cable service...that's not what we got it for. We just wanted something portable, light-weight and easy to use and thats what we got.
